Shoe requirements for CD*NY dances.

We’ve added something new to our Fall schedule – Experienced Friday Night English Country Dances. Experienced Fridays will not be like the Tuesday evenings that you have attended. Although the dances will be familiar to those who regularly attend Tuesdays, there will be no teaching of the basic dance figures. Fridays will not be evenings to rely on dance angels to help you through. A list of the dances will be available on line, two weeks prior to the dance. The caller will prompt the dances through only a few rounds. This will enable dancers to listen to the fabulous music, thereby enriching their experience ten-fold. There will also be some For-Those-Who-Know dances which will not be prompted. If you attend, but do not know a FTWK dance, please enjoy watching your fellow dancers while you listen to the music. Steps to these dances will be available on line, so you can look them over ahead of time.

Come DANCE With Us!

Always a live band and a caller who teaches the dances

What are these dances, anyhow?

Go to YouTube for videos of Contra dances or English Country dances.

We need your feedback to help us plan our programs!
email us confidentially about bands, callers, the atmosphere of the dance,
dancers or whatever makes a dance wonderful or a dud for you. Thanks!.
