English Country Dance Calendar

English country dances are held from September to early June

Except where otherwise indicated, all dances are on
Tuesday evening from 7:00-10:15 pm, at
The Church of the Village
201 W. 13th St. (at 7th Ave.), New York City
Members and full-time students with ID: $10; Non-members $13
CDSS members who live 50 miles outside of NYC pay as CD*NY members
Please bring a pair of CLEAN, SOFT-SOLED SHOES to change into for the dance.
If the shoes have been worn outside, take extra care to scrub off any grit from the soles.
No high heels. Let’s protect the floor and our right to dance on it!

Each Tuesday evening, we will begin with an experienced English Country Dance session from 7:00 to 7:30 which will concentrate on challenging dances and figures. Running simultaneously in the kitchen, there will be a beginner's session. Dancers who are still learning the ECD basic figures and repertoire are invited to either join the beginner's session or watch the challenging dances.

Dancing for all in the main hall will begin at 7:30.
