English Country Dances

Philip Coltoff Center, 219 Sullivan Street, Manhattan

CD*NY holds English country dances from mid-September through June on Tuesday nights, 7:00-10:15pm, with one or two dances during July and August.

Admission is $10 for members and full-time students with ID, and $13 for non-members. There is always a live band and a caller who teaches the dances.

The first half hour of the evening is devoted to workshops: a skills building workshop for newer dancers in one of the smaller rooms, and a challenging workshop for advanced dancers in the main hall. Dancing for all begins at 7:30.

Please wear shoes with clean, soft soles -- ideally shoes that have not been worn outside.

Contributions to refreshments at the break are welcome. Please bring a snack to share with your fellow dancers.
