Casting Call for Inde Film of Contra Dancers

CD*NY has received the following casting call for an independent film which will feature contra dancing. Take a look and, if interested, follow the directions to get yourselves in the film.

Dear Dancers,

Hickory Pictures is now casting contra dancers for an independent, family-friendly period drama that is set to shoot upstate later this fall.  We need dancers of all ages!  If you are an experienced contra dancer or clogger and are interested in showcasing your skills, please follow the instructions below in order to apply.  No prior film or acting experience is required!  Please also note that while the contra dance to be filmed will have a caller, there may be one unfamiliar dance that you will be asked to learn in addition to the traditional contra dances.

Please provide us with the following:
1) Two current photos of yourself, one up close, and one full-body shot.  These do not need to be professional, a simple picture is all we need.
3) A short note detailing your experience with contra dancing.
4) A contact number, whereby we may best reach you.

As the subject line of your email, please title it: Contra Dancer. Otherwise, your email may be misplaced.

Parents, if you have children who are interested, we ask you to contact us on their behalf.

Shooting will take place in October, and will include one to two days of filming/rehearsal, both of which will be paid.  You can contact me for further details, or if you have any questions or concerns.
