CDNY Concert Series

To strengthen our community, to make connections with dancers and musicians outside the CD*NY area, and most especially to give support and encouragement to our roster of musicians, CD*NY has established an occasional series of online concerts, featuring those talented artists who play regularly for our dances. Concerts with a largely English flavor mostly happen on Friday nights, while those with a contra connection mostly fall on Saturday evenings.

The series began on June 27, with the inventive duo Matthew Christian and Max Carmichael. On July 31, professional harpist Tomoko Sugawara, who plays on English Tuesdays, gave a concert featuring music for Asian, Renaissance, baroque, and Irish harps, including dance tunes by O’Carolan. More such offerings are in the works.

Become a member of CD*NY and get regular updates about the schedule, or keep an eye on our home page calendar, where the latest information will be posted. Additional information about the series for potential donors and performers can be accessed here.
