The 2024 Country Dance*New York Playford Ball will be held on Saturday, April 13th.
Our Masters of Ceremony are Paul Ross and Daniel Popowich. We are honored to have three talented musicians for our evening dance: Cynthia Shaw (piano); Gene Murrow (concertina and recorders) and Eric Martin (violin and viola). Robin Russell (piano) will play for our afternoon walk-through.
The afternoon review session runs 2:00-4:00 PM, followed by a break for dinner. The Ball starts at 7:00 PM and ends at 11:00 PM.

Ball Music recordings
Recordings of this year’s music are available for download or a CD. You can pick-up a CD at our weekly dances for $16. If you prefer to download the cost is $12 and includes as a bonus the recording from our 2023 Ball. You can also receive a CD via the mail for $20.
To purchase either the download or the USPS delivered music use our online payment page to send the correct amount. Then send an email to Jeffrey.Bary@gmail.com. You will be sent the download link or receive the CD in the mail. Include your mailing address if you are purchasing a CD via USPS delivery.

The Ball will be held at Good-Shepherd Faith Presbyterian Church, on New York’s Upper West Side:
Parking & Transportation
You may be able to find street parking. If not try one of the apps that can reserve spots nearby. Prices vary greatly from $15 to $90 for the day. The app SpotHero shows many choices and they must be reserved before you arrive at the lot. The app is available for Android and Apple phone.
The venue is close to the 66 St-Lincoln Center subway stop. Google Maps and the mta.info site can give you detailed travel directions.
Registration
Advance registration is required. Attendance may be limited, with priority given through February 16 to CD*NY members and CDSS members who live 50 miles or more from NYC. Admission is $40 per dancer (or $22 for full-time students). Please consider making a contribution to the Playford Ball Fund. Registration charges don’t cover the total expense of the Ball.
